This blog contains some thoughts and some photos I took.
Outside of my family and friends, my main interests are Ardee, cars, motorbikes & photography.
If those things don't interest you then you’re probably wasting your time going any further.

05/03/17 - Cars And Coffee North East
A throwback to the first Cars And Coffee North East event that I attended back in March 2017. Little did I realise at that stage how much I would look forward to the first Sunday of each month after that.

2014 RIAC Classic Car Show
I think this was the first Classic Car show that I attended and I was blown away by the broad range of vehicles that were on display. I was equally gobsmacked by the overall condition of them as well, it would be very fair to say that they probably didn't look as good 'back in the day'. The car that really caught my eye that day was the glorious red Lamborghini Miura SV that was on display. Or the F40. Or the Renault 5 Turbo. etc, etc. Each vehicle was stunning in it's own way.

Barry McGuigan's Knockout Performance at Mondello Park
Barry McGuigan delivered a stunning knockout, to himself, when he took part in the Irish round of the 1991 British Rallycross Championship that was held at Mondello Park.
He'd started in 5th place and was just about into the lead by the end of the first lap. He turned in across one of his competitors as they entered the first corner after the start / finish straight.
90s Metro Rallycross Action from Mondello Park
I enjoyed regular visits to Mondello Park during the early 90s for the Rallycross action and we never went home disappointed.
There was always close ( sometimes too close ! ) racing to enjoy with the trio of Dermot Carnegie, John Maloney & Dennis Biggerstaff putting on a top class show for the fans.
Here are some of my favourite shots of those boys in action, along with a few other Metros.
