24/02/19 - Carrickdale Model Toy Show

I took a spin down to the Carrickdale Hotel in Dundalk to visit the show and was amazed at some of the displays that had been set up. The attention to detail in some of them was incredible.
Anyway, lets get on with the photos.

24/02/19 - Cars And Coffee - Driven NI

We took a spin up to Dundonald this morning for the Driven NI Cars And Coffee meet that was held at Ceramitech Ireland. It was well worth the 3 hour round trip with a vast selection of top quality cars on display and a few WTF ones as well.

12/02/19 - Teenage Kicks

I know you are probably fed up of posts about this Lamborghini but I've waited over 40 years to shoot one and I'm still pinching myself. In fact, this car had won my heart 7 or 8 years before I picked up a camera.

12/02/19 - Lamborghini Countach

Ì honestly don't know what to say about this car. I remember falling in love with them in the late 70's while I was at secondary school. I've only seen a few glimpses of them in real life down through the years until last year when a local enthusiast bought this stunner.

10/02/19 - NI Motorcycle Festival

Myself and Fintan took a trip up to the Eikon Centre in Lisburn for the NI Motorcycle Festival with the thought that its good to keep an eye on what's on offer to the current generation of bikers. It's 8 years since I sold my last bike, a 1983 CX 500 Eurosport. However , I was drooling at the mouth when I laid eyes on the new Suzuki Katana, it cut me like a knife ( pun intended ) . I'd seen photos of the bike over the past few months but they don't do it justice. I know Suzuki are just raiding the parts bins and building a bike around a softened GSXR1000 engine, but they did a fantastic job. It's every bit as much of a head turner as the original machine that was launched in 1981.

03/2/19 - Cars And Coffee North East - 2nd Anniversary

It's hard to believe that 2 years have passed since the first Cars And Coffee North East meet at DKIT. Keep an eye out for the next issue of Retro Classics magazine as there will be more pictures and a report published in it.

03/02/19 - 1000bhp 1969 Camaro Z28 at Cars & Coffee North east

I recorded a short video of the car as it was being fired up and leaving the event, it can be found here -

It was shot on a DJI OSMO Pocket, as supplied by Mahers Photo in Drogheda.

I have to say, the sight and sound of this 1969 Camaro was incredible.

Fair play to everyone who ventured out on a fairly wintery morning.

It wasn't the only treat for us today though, as the organisers were handing out lovely Cars & Coffee North East mugs.
